Aberlour is located in the very heart of beautiful Speyside and is renowned for its friendliness. The village is well served with banks, hotels, restaurants, garage and shops for everyday needs. It also has excellent primary and high school facilities and its own hospital and medical centre.

The Speyside Way long distance walk passes through the village which is now also home to the Speyside Way Visitor Centre.

The surrounding countryside has much to offer, with the Cairngorm and Grampian mountains being within easy reach and the charming coastal resorts of the Moray Firth being close at hand. There are local whisky trails to follow and castles to visit and of course the River Spey, famous worldwide for its salmon fishing, flows through the heart of the village.
